About Us

Apple Mountain Golf & CC was Carved from Hillside and Is One of the Most Enjoyable Golf Courses You Will Ever Play

Located in White Township in beautiful, scenic Warren County, N.J. The original 144 acres was purchased in 1972 from the Ernest Race Family, who operated an award-winning apple and peach business since 1940. The 75 acre mountain was purchased from the Hanford Williams family. Other lands have been added to the complex which is now about 500 acres. The original idea came from Andrew Kiszonak, who became familiar with the land with its exceptional views of the Delaware Water Gap, Wind Gap and the Jenny Jump
Mountain Range. He envisioned the site as the perfect place for a year-round recreation area featuring golf and skiing.

Once a Ski Hill – Now an Incredibly Unique Golf Course

Andrew designed the golf course and on Labor Day 1973 the first nine opened and the ski slopes were opened with a rope tow lift. It was however decided to abandon skiing and concentrate the efforts on the golf course. As the first nine was successful the second nine opened in 1977.
The original barn with its hand-hewn beams and 32 feet cathedral ceiling was renovated with the intent of preserving its rustic charm. The Top of the Green Restaurant opened in 1985 and has become a favorite place to enjoy excellent food.

Rich in History – Steeped in Character

The area is rich in history and folklore tales abound about the mountain which was originally named Mt. No More. Geologically unique, it stands alone unconnected to any other mountain or range and tales have it that an Indian Brave of the Lenne Lenape tribe climbed the mountain and claimed I can mount no more thus giving it the name. Other tales claim that he climbed the mountain to be with his Indian Maiden and then said, "I can mount no more." It all adds up to a rich and interesting history.
Since then over a million people have played and so many have visited from outside of the county that Apple Mountain received the Warren County Tourism Award in 1996.
