The First Annual Golf for Charity Tournament was held on Thursday, September 30, 2009. This unique event was started because in these economic times many local charities were feeling the pinch of reduced donations. This event was an opportunity for golfers and diners to have an enjoyable day of golf and dinner and to decide which of their favorite charity would receive the $35.00 donation.  $25.00 for those who came only to the Dinner.

Adding to the fun and excitement of the day was a Hole-in-One by Lou Merkooloff of Long Valley.
Lou used a 7 wood on Hole #15 , the difficult 160 yard, Par 3. CONGRATULATIONS to Lou on his first Hole-in-one!
Lou's Charity choice is the Long Valley Women's Club.
